Millennia2025 and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

The Millennia2025 Women and Innovation Foundation builds its all its actions in line with the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

"17 Goals to Transform Our World:
The Sustainable Development Goals are a call for action by all countries – poor, rich and middle-income – to promote prosperity while protecting the planet. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, social protection, and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and environmental protection."

1. No poverty;

2. Zero hunger;

3. Good health and well-being;

4. Quality education;

5. Gender equality;

6. Clean water and sanitation;

7. Affordable and Clean egergy;

8. Decent work and Economic growth;

9. Insustry, innovation and infrastructure;

10. Reduced inequalities;

11. Sustainable cities and communities;

12. Responsible consuption and production;

13. Climate action;

14. Life below water;

15. Life on land;

16. Peace, justice and strong institutions;

17. Partnerships for the Goals.

Considering its charter and its objectives, Millennia2025 deals specificaly with 5 Sustainable Developement Goals (SDG), linked with the Strategic Axes resulting from the international foresight exercise led by Millennia2025 from 2007 to 2012. As in the Millennia2025 She4Innovation study, we use keywords to summarize the issue:

Health

UN SDG-3. Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages.

+

M2025 SA-3. To develop innovative processes in order to access to health care by mobilization of new human, financial and technological resources.

Education

UN SDG-4. Quality Education: Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all;

 +

M2025 SA-2. To help women to build a personal and collective capital of freedom of movement and decision, of quality of life, of education, of training,  and of work.

Equality

UN SDG-5. Gender Equality: Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls.

 +

M2025 SA-5. To give the same rights to the girls than to the boys in the fields of education and training, to open all the channels and to commit them in common projects.

Justice

UN SDG-16. Peace, Justice and strong institutions: Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.

 +

M2025 SA-1. To better respect and protect physical, moral and psychological integrity of women. To reinforce their juridical capacities, assure them of the non-impunity of their aggressors.

Economic leadership

The process that led us to combine the four SA/SDGs provides the basic assumption that Economic leadership (SDG-8 and SA-6) is the very innovative solution to develop by women  and girls for their futures:

UN SDG 8. Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.

 +

M2025 SA-6. To improve the access of women in the social and economic activities, which are both carrying performance, efficiency, equity and social responsibilities.
